We are a private study group devoted to Asatru and Hellenismos (the ancient Northern and Southern European spiritual traditions). We are not a kindred, we focus instead on an informal study of the lore, sagas, traditions, mythos, poetry and history of the ancients, from Beowulf to Homer. It's not all bookish study however. Eastside Author Chat is a safe haven for writers to gather, chat, share frustrations, and participate in workshops and writing challenges. Whether you are a poet, a novelist, or you just like to scribble random things on napkins, this is the group for you. Everyone welcome; all writing styles and all genres.    

A supportive environment to help each other write, get feedback, encouragement, and improvement in any genre of writing. We are also planning on publication of work, whether through submissions to small magazines, or full-length books to commercial publishing houses. Anyone who has a real interest in writing may join.
