The Moonlit Poetry Caravan is focused around a shared aesthetic, and a desire to grow as poets via constructive feedback. If you are looking for a poetry group, we may or may not be your cup of tea, and vice versa – and I say this in the spirit of respect for the variety of views that art includes and provokes. Poets with significant experience in the arts are encouraged to press Apply, and to submit 4-6 poems as a sample via email to am@amolotkov.com. We are interested in all types of unrhymed …
This is a group of poetry lovers that meets monthly to share poems. Some of us are poets, and some are not. We started with an emphasis on mystical poetry, and then yielded to the suggestion that poetry is inherently mystical. The format is informal: We each bring a few poems, by ourselves or others, and take turns reading to the group. Sometimes we choose seasonal themes, but all poems are welcome and appreciated. When we can, we bring copies to distribute to the group (usually not more than 5 …
Encourages you to get out there in Vancouver Washington's Poetry and Writing Community. There will be events for open mic, workshops, and the latest book releases of Vancouver's local talent. This open mic group is sponsored by WritingPearls Publishers.
Poetry. Prose. Words like secret doors to other worlds. We want to hear and experience what you've written. The Service Bay Bar provides a comfortable atmosphere to grab a drink, get on the mic, and let go...share your poetry with us, whether you're a newcomer to the spoken word scene or if you really know how to heat up the mic. Give us what you've got and be eager to hear from others who have their own poems and words to put forth.

Is your inner Titania ready to release her magic? Or does your secret Hamlet yearn to soliliquize? You don't have to be an actor to want to play with the Bard's words. Nor must they be discussed with a somber aspect and intellectual diagraming. Let's get together to read, perform and taste the juicy poetry and make it our own. Just for fun. So bring your favorite speeches, scenes or sonnets and hie yourself down to the Kenton Library meeting room.

Meet other folks who love poetry or write poems. Each time we meet, at a local coffee house, we'll share poems that we love. Either from our favorite poets or from our own collection that we've written.
..the bard | the priest | the poet | the storyteller | and the questions themselves... We all have musings... questions about stuff that really matters. There are questions that call us into the presence of things... and we wonder... these are the ones we sit with. We invite the bard, the poet, the artist, the storyteller to give us first entry into the questions... then we sit in circle withour stories, curiosity, peeling the layers off. Pubs and Coffeehouses feel unpretentious, inhabitable, pl …
This Meetup group is for people who don't hike in 'mission mode'. We don't drive through to the finish line, we stop and smell the roses. This is a great group for people who for health reasons need to take it a bit slower, or for people who want to stop and ID plants, or read trail signs, listen to birdsong, take photos, declaim poetry, contemplate color. Please send me your hike suggestions, and if you have knowledge of birds, herbology, trail reading, edible plants, meditation, whatever, I wo …

Many years ago I was inspired by author Julia Cameron to begin writing what she calls Morning Pages. I began that daily practice in 1992 and continue to benefit from it. I have written my way through numerous moves, travel, divorce, interesting relationships, death and all manner of life in between. Writing has been my constant along the way. Writing opens the door to all other kinds of creative expression. Writing is a way in and a way out. It opens doors and windows to creativity. It carries y …

Homo Neophilus meme trading for the intellectually curious… “We want to recruit you because you’re so gullible. That is, gullible in the right way. You’re skeptical about conventional wisdom, but attracted to unorthodox ideas…All humans are irrational, but there are two different kinds of irrationality-- those who love old ideas and hate and fear new ones, and those who despise old ideas and joyfully embrace new ones…They are all in one piece, so to speak…They are fully aware…And conscious w …
