30 Meetup Groups match “Poetry” near Greenville, NC
Someone recently said, poetry is not meant to be read quietly, but to be listened to. So just like in the Dead Poets Society movie, I would like to meet with people who also love poetry, love to read it aloud, love to perform it, love to talk about it and love to write it. - Let's come together sharing poems and why they touch us the way they do. Check out our website !!! http://www.livingpoetry.net/ Follow us on Facebook: Living Poetry Facebook Listen to our podcasts: Living Poetry Podcast Here …
While there are lots of meetups for lovers of poetry, information about where and when one can speak to an audience is widely dispersed and often difficult to track down. TPOM's goal is to create and maintain a regular schedule of poetry open mics where poets and poetry lovers can read their own work or that of a writer that inspires them. There is no cost to join and even if you don't want to read, TPOM invites you to join and be an audience member.

The purpose of this group is to connect with the other poets outside of the exercises. This year we'll also get to know each other and help and support each other in our poetry and writing endeavors.

Something a wee bit different. Come join us amid the sometimes bustle of coffee, tea and cupcakes, one Tuesday a month, at the Looking Glass Cafe.

This is a writing practice group where you can work on a specific project, find your inner voice, or just try your hand at writing for the first time. Writing prompts will be given at the start of each session (and on Twitter @WakeWriters) bu …

Through the use of Social Media, Digital Distribution, Self Production, Publishing and Promotion, NCIAC is leading the change from the traditional "Top Down" method of generating revenue for Artists to a more equitable "Bottom Up" approach. Corporations are fighting the change, because it puts the "Control" (read:- money) where it belongs "in the hands of independent artists". This belief remained until scholars discovered the symbols described sounds; the pictures indicated words or syllables and it became a language to convey ideas. Egyptians continued use of the ideographic and syllabic systems, even after alphabets were discovered. Likewise, when Barack Hussein Obama, II was first heard, many pondered the representation of such a nam …
