The group will meet monthly to share spiritual poetry. Poems may be in any style and may be your own original writing or any spiritual poetry you love. All spiritual beliefs and paths are welcomed. Come and read your favorite poem or just kick back an enjoy. The first hour will be for sharing poetry and the remaining time will be for socializing and getting to know each other. Namaste, fellow poetry lovers!
… For the hell (or heaven) of it, we’ll meet regularly/religiously to prostrate ourselves before the blank page and generate lots of original writing (prose and/or poetry) via accessible forms, prompts, sample writings, and language play and experimentation. We’ll also attend to craft, identifying clichés, easy solutions, habitual ways of articulation, and vague generalities in our writing so that we can invent language that powerfully communicates the personal and the universal simultaneously.
