Poetry, short stories, plays, novels, history, philosophy, science, not necessarily in that order, classics that are worthy of discussion, current and past, western and non-western, these are the works we discuss. Hi! I'm brand-new to San Francisco and after trying out three writing groups, I decided that it might be fun to start one of my own. A bit about me: I am a graduate student in marriage and family therapy. I write mostly poetry, but also dabble in fiction. Seeking anyone who enjoys making music with their mouth like Bobby McFerrin. Do you sing, whistle, or beat box? Actual instruments are NOT needed, but skilled musicians are still welcome. I hope to unite a mix of interesting people and styles for a recording and performance project. Most beat box is like rap or pop beats, so maybe we can take it to a new level with big band classics or jazz standards. I would value any feedback so we can get this group started.
