Taste
You need me like a child needing his mother’s milk.
Always slurping and sucking at the breast
forcefully, causing pain.
Like a mother, I shall never turn you away.
You crave for my life giving liquids as gardens
crave for water. I relent and bring forth rain.
Your seeds sprout, flowers bloom, and pollens
take to the air. I give of myself so that you can survive.
I make my mind soft and supple so you can nurture at my tit
of knowledge. All my flavors are candy to your senses,
and as you taste me, you bring forth my thoughts.
Those that shelter deep in the corners of my mind,
spinning out of control and colliding like atoms, that I cannot grasp nor recognize,
but you can taste my thoughts, fitting them in natural order.
You solve my puzzle, turning my simple sugars into complex candies and become this child’s fondest dreams.
