The London Poetry Meetup Group

This Poetry Group has been set up for people who enjoy reading and listening to classical, contemporary and original works of poetry. Every Meetup there will be a focus on a particular poet or genre. This theme or focus will be decided largely by the proximity of the date of the meetup to an anniversary of a poet's birthday. Some meetups may not involve reading poetry, but attending a literary or cultural event, such as a poetry reading by a published poet or an evening at the theatre.

Our next meeting:
Scottish Poets
We will be looking at Scottish poets. From Robert Burns to Kathleen Jamie and Jackie Kay; we are looking to discuss some of Scotland's best and lesser known poets. Bring along a couple of poems by your favourite Scottish poet and maybe one or two of your own if you dare! Nah - we really are a fun loving bunch and we look forward to meeting you and hearing what you've got to bring along. Read more
