What?
Open Mic and Concert series featuring the areas dopest poets, emcees, vocalists, instrumentalists, and kick ass hybrid performers who do what the hell they wants.

Who?
Spoken Soul 215 (Just Greg, Lyrispect, RhapsodE, Reuben Jones, Traycee Lynn, & Vision), Buje Concepts Marketing, Skyy Vodka, Marathon Grill, American Dreaming Magazine, Vitamin Water and more importantly, YOU! (http://www.spokensoul...)

When?
July 1, 2009 - 7PM ($7 or 2 for $10...so bring a friend!)

Where?
Marathon Grill Panda Bar, 40th & Walnut - NEW LOCATION!

Why?
Because the energy is dope, the performances leave you inspired, & the freedom is refreshing. If that's not enough, there's an OPEN bar (7-8p sponsored by Skyy Vodka), FREE food (7-8p Sponsored by Marathon Grill).

How?
Car (plenty of street parking available, and there's a parking garage directly located across the street from the venue), Public Trans (the Septa Blue Line El Train to 40th Street, then walk two short blocks south to Walnut), and to my NY, Bmore, and DC folk, the Bolt and Mega buses stop at 30th Street Station (Hop on the Septa Blue Line El Train to 40th Street, then walk two blocks south)...

If you haven't heard about it, you've been on serious hiatus. But it's cool, time to get out of hibernation and into creation. It's Harvest time once again.

GET THERE EARLY!

I missed this meeting but please tell me theres going to be another one in July sometime i would love to meet all of the other talented spokenword artist.

Who attended?

  • 9 attendees
    •  It was a bot young of a crowd. Maybe I am too old for the group? (Tell me I am wrong, please.)
    •  It was really good the only problem I had was when the people in the back were talking. But everyone who touched the stage was amazing. I really wanted to do my poem but I didn't get to the list soon enough but all in all it was a good time. I even bought a t-shirt.
    •  It was wonderful!!! It was my first open mic and although the style and rhythm of the poets on stage was a little young for me (I'm over 40) I enjoyed hearing other poets, writers, artists such as myself, live! I went with one friend and we had a blast!
