why TWIT HAIKU? well, i realized that every haiku, and most tenkus, i'd written were 140 characters or less, and could therefore be read on twitter, which was greatly maligned at an FWA meeting i attended. i'll admit i follow certain individuals on twitter [TOUR DE FRANCE PODIUMS] but only a handful, i have a life. besides, TWIT is one of my nicknames.
