The Poetry Grind is at Cafe Rembrandt!

The musician friendly open mic and poetry slam is March 5th. Get there early to get on the list to perform on the open mic and poetry slam and to enjoy happy hour from 4-7pm!

The next meet ups will be March 5th and 19th.

National Poetry Month Calendar for April will be:

April 2nd

April 16th-Last Chance Poetry Slam for the Poetry Grind National Poetry Slam Team

April 30th-Final Poetry Slam for the Poetry Grind National Poetry Slam Team!

Starting in May through August-the Third Thursday night of the month will be Open Mic All Night!

Cafe Rembrandt is in Downtown Dallas on McKinney ave across the street from Hooter's and the House of Blues. It is located in the center of the Brewery building, plenty of excellent free parking, close to the West End Train Station, no cover charge, great food and adult beverages and it is a really cool space. A place avant gaurde enough to host the Velvet Kittens burlesque shows twice a month is more than capable of handling free speech poetry readings.

Sign-up begins at 8pm. Open Mic at 8:30pm and Poetry Slam at 9:30pm.

Very nice atmosphere; good variety of people; great source for spoken word!

There was a packed house from the start. The Open Mic list filled in 15 minutes with 10 readers. The Poetry Slam list was expanded to 14. It was a bad call considering there was a great feature with Amy Weaver. The show ran an hour long. The crowd was excellent and the poetry was phenomenal. Lots of new faces on the mic to mix with the veterans
