"I am 52 years old woman, married with a teenage son. I hold a BFA in Graphic Design. I am an active member of an online poetry site, but would very much like to be a vital member of a "live" group. I enjoy giving and receiving helpful feedback. "
What do you think is important about poetry?

Personally. it's a creative outlet for self expression. I find I have an intense need in my life to create visually and in the written word. It's really a hunger that needs consistent nourishment.

What do you enjoying reading?

I am currently in an online poetry group. I'd have to say that I enjoy reading other "amateur" poetry at this point in time.

About what do you write?

My spirituality, humor, love, nature, society...

    I am having the HARDEST TIME writing a new first chapter. I've rewritten it about 6 times since the last time we met. My goal before the meeting is to get about 2 pages to read at the meeting. I'm sure it won't be perfect; this restructuring of the beginning is really ripping me apart because I understand how important the first chapter is and if I didn't grab everyone right away, then it has to change. Worked on this for years though. I want it to be perfect. See you tonight ”
